The work of the PichiAvo Hylas and The Naiades Diaspasis (NE) is a giclee print on paper Hahnemuehle Photo Rag limited edition of 100 signed and numbered.
The subjects of Hylas and the Naiades Diaspasis are Ila and two Naiad nymphs. The myth tells that Ila had embarked with the Argonauts at the behest of Heracles; during the trip, in a stop looking for a spring of fresh water, Ila came across the Naiads that, struck by its beauty, kidnapped him. There was no trace of him.
The protagonists of the works of PichiAvo artists are inspired by Greek and Roman statues that have seen and photographed during their travels around the world. These sculptures are reinterpreted and redesigned thanks to their iconic style that combines classical art and graffiti, with tags on the background and bright and intense colors.
The work was made exclusively for the exhibition Diaspasis, in Greek separation; the works realized on the occasion of this exhibition return the effect of archaeological finds, fragments of a single design found and again separated in the halls of distant museums. The edges of the print are irregular and jagged, the paper has been torn by the artists.
