REALITY: OPTIONAL. CON I MAESTRI DEL XX SECOLO - CATALOGUE

The catalogue, curated by Wunderkammern and Claudio Crescentini and published by SilvanaEditoriale, provides a thorough and captivating perspective on the encounter between some masterpieces from the permanent collection of GAM and the innovative artistic language of the Miaz Brothers.

Written in Italian and English, the catalogue consists of 96 pages, enriched with images that capture the essence of the exhibited works. Within the volume, all the works on display are reproduced, along with some evocative images of the exhibition setup.

The work includes valuable textual contributions from prominent figures in the world of art and culture, including Miguel Gotor, Councillor for Culture of Rome Capital, Claudio Parisi Presicce, Capitol Superintendent, Claudio Crescentini, curator of the exhibition, and Giuseppe Pizzuto, Director of Wunderkammern. Additionally, an interview by Claudio Crescentini with the Miaz Brothers offers a fascinating insight into the creative process of the artists.

The catalogue stands out for its ability to compellingly narrate the comparison between the masterpieces of the XX century Masters of GAM and the renewed portrait approach of the Miaz Brothers. Through a unique style, where subjects appear out of focus but recognizable in their main features, the artists drew direct inspiration from works in the museum, focusing their attention on the concept of post-truth.
