PURE EVIL – VAMPIRE BEATLES-LET IT BE

The work of Pure Evil Vampire Beatles - Let it be is a canvas entirely handmade by the artist with spray paint and stencils.

The artist Pure Evil adds his characteristic tear to each of the four subjects in the canvas (the Beatles), with the aim of highlighting the disenchantment hidden behind the fame of the Beatles. Let it be, the title of the opera, refers to the last album produced as a group by the British band, released a month after officially announcing their dissolution in the spring of 1970.

In this work, as in other of his works, Pure Evil resumes the silkscreens of Andy Warhol both in the choice of subjects - in fact Warhol has portrayed John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in 1980 - both in terms of color gamut.

Pure Evil is exhibiting this work, 100 x 100 x 4 cm in size, at the exhibition Not my circus, not my monkeys held in 2022 at the Wunderkammern office in Milan.
