Biancoshock, born in Milan in 1982, is a conceptual and urban artist known for his provocative installations and performances. His identity remains unknown, as he prefers to remain anonymous by hiding behind a balaclava.

Through his art, Biancoshock addresses issues such as the environment, poverty and the stresses of modern life, using elements of Western pop culture to create ironic and thought-provoking works.

Training and Early Career

Biancoshock's artistic career began in 2004, after a previous ten-year experience in the graffiti world.

This background led him to experience the city as a stage for his artistic actions, developing an expressive language that belongs to performance and situationist art. 

Ephemeralism: A New Avant-Garde

Biancoshock coined the term ‘Ephemeralism’ to describe his artistic practice, which focuses on the creation of ephemeral experiences in public space, intended to exist briefly but persist over time through photographic and video documentation.

This philosophy reflects the transient nature of his works and their ability to stimulate lasting reflections in viewers.
